Is HeyVeggie a shopping list?
No — it is so much more! HeyVeggie connects the whole household loop: plan shopping, shop with shared lists, capture receipts, update pantry and inventory, track expiry and waste, and learn from prices and spending.
Is household sharing free?
No. Sharing lists and household data across members is a HeyVeggie Premium feature. You can still manage a personal household on the free mobile experience.
Is the web portal the full app?
No. The mobile app is the main product. The web portal at app.heyveggie.app is an additional Premium companion for extra convenience.
Can I use it offline?
The mobile app — yes! HeyVeggie is local-first on the phone, with background sync when you are online. Real-time household sharing is a Premium feature.
How does receipt scanning work?
Capture a receipt (take a picture and upload it in HeyVeggie), review the lines, and connect what you bought to expenses and inventory. Scanning can use cloud OCR for better results. You can turn off cloud processing and stay on-device only, with potentially lower recognition quality.
Is nutrition medical advice?
No. Nutrition and wellness tools are for personal tracking and organization only. They are NOT medical, dietary, or fitness advice. Nutrition and wellness features are Premium. Read the legal disclaimers.
Is Veggie an AI that runs the house?
No. Veggie is the adorable household helper and the friendly face of HeyVeggie — nudges, reminders, and practical supported actions. Veggie is not a fully autonomous AI household manager.
When can I download the app?
HeyVeggie will soon be listed on both Google Play Store and on the App Store. Join the waitlist and we will email you when it is available. Beta APK is coming soon.
